$ 500 000 at the Valentine's Day Ball!
The 14th Valentine's Day Ball, held on February 9 at Windsor Station with the theme "Windsor, English Pleasures", raised $ 500,000 in net profit to be donated to local youth aid organizations of the province of Quebec.
More than 600 people attended this event, which is a hopeful one for young people. They were able to enjoy a decoration worthy of a British manor of the last century, a gourmet meal prepared by Tuck Shop, a brilliant animation by Isabelle Racicot and a lively musical performance by the band 1945. We would like to thank Our Honorary Co-Chairs Mr. Sylvain Corbeil, Senior Vice-President, Quebec and Atlantic, TD Commercial Banking, and Mr. Nicolas Marcoux, National Managing Partner, Montreal and Big City Office, PwC, for their outstanding contribution.
Among the highlights of the evening were a reception by the young people of the organization Plein milieu and a philanthropic auction dedicated to the organization À deux mains to fight against homelessness in teenagers. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, more than $ 50,000 have been raised for this organization.
The Valentine's Day Ball was also an opportunity to announce to our guests that the Fondation des maladies mentales and the Fondation Québec Jeunes had joined forces to become the Fondation Jeunes en Tête. Through concerted and integrated initiatives, we will have a greater impact on youth aged 11-18 year old of Quebec in difficulty or likely to be. Preventing, supporting and enabling the development of the full potential of young people is what we are passionate about. The new visual identity of the Jeunes en Tête Foundation has been developed with the agency orangetango.
The Ball Committee is pleased with the success of this evening and would like to thank the many partners and volunteers who contributed greatly to this resounding success!
