19th edition of the Valentine’s Day Ball

$742 000 ! AN INCREDIBLE AMOUNT FOR YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH!

The 19th Valentine’s Day Ball of the Youth in Mind Foundation, which took place at Montreal’s Windsor Station on Thursday, February 16th, raised a net amount of $742,000. A record!  Under the honorary co-chairmanship of Ms. Ève Laurier of Bombardier and Ms. Julie Doré of BCF Business Law, the event was a great success in favour of the prevention of psychological distress among young people.

The great mobilization around this prestigious evening made it possible to raise funds to finance workshops and online tools, offered free of charge to young people, their parents and school personnel. Mélanie Boucher, Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, wishes to highlight the involvement and generosity of the two honorary co-presidents as well as that of Nathalie Gagnon, Chair of this year’s Committee of Governors.

More than 600 guests were welcomed in a festive atmosphere and a daring decor… with pink flamingos and candyfloss!

We can’t wait to see you all again for the 20th edition of the Ball, in February 2023!

Discover Martine’s testimony, broadcasted during the Valentine’s Day Ball. Martine discovered the actions of the Youth in Mind Foundation during a workshop offered in high school, when she was a student. At the time, she was a teenager with suicidal thoughts and looking for help. This encounter was the starting point of her mental health approach. Today, Martine is a team leader and assistant to the Foundation’s youth services. She herself goes to schools to raise awareness of mental health issues among young people and to provide them with tools to combat depression and anxiety.
