A collection of poetry dedicated to the mental health of young people!

L’Étoile Taillée traces a tumultuous journey of resilience: that of a suffering child and her caregiver mother. As her daughter fiercely battles her desire to die, the author finds solace in poetry—a space where breathing again becomes possible.

Where does one find the strength to stand by a sick child? How does one navigate personal suffering while continuing to be a pillar of support? Is it possible to inspire someone to live?

This poetic narrative does not provide answers. Instead, it lays down stones along a dizzying path, between storm and calm. Presented in a kaleidoscopic form—verses, dialogues, lists, lullabies—the collection mirrors the fragmented trajectory of a slow and radiant return to equilibrium.

The author has committed to donating all royalties to the Fondation Jeunes en Tête. L’Étoile Taillée, published by Éditions du Noroît, has been available online and in bookstores since August 6, 2024.
