Frequently Asked Questions About Our Workshops

All our workshops and tools are offered free of charge thanks to the support of our amazing donors.

The only potential cost for you is lunch at the school cafeteria, which we kindly ask you to provide for our workshop team if you are able to do so.

Our workshop teams can lead between 1 to 4 workshops per day, per school.

Ideally, we prefer to run the workshops in individual classrooms (as opposed to several groups together in an auditorium, for example). The quality of the interaction with students is much better, and they typically feel more comfortable participating and asking questions about mental health in a smaller setting. If this isn’t possible for you, no woories! Let’s discuss your specific situation and find a solution that works for you.

We cannot guarantee that well be able to meet with all your student groups in a single year. However, we love a challenge and would be happy to assess this possibility based on our remaining availability.

Yes! To host an FJET booth at your school or during an event, please fill out the registration form by clicking here. We suggest combining a booth with classroom workshops. You can use the same request form to indicate your interest in both services.

In both of our workshops, we present videos that are accessible via a USB key or YouTube link. Our workshop team does not bring a computer with them, so we’ll need the following depending on the workshop:

For the Mental Health Basics workshop (1st cycle):

  • An interactive whiteboard (IWB) or a computer and projector
  • A chalkboard or whiteboard where magnets can be placed

For the Partners for Life workshop (2nd cycle):

  • An interactive whiteboard (IWB) or a computer and projector
  • A desk at the front to set up our magnet board

Each workshop runs the same length as a single class period. The duration adjusts to the standard length of your class periods (between 50 and 75 minutes, depending on the school).

We request that a school staff member be present during the workshop to assist our team with classroom management (a teacher or counsellor).

Our workshop team consists of 16 passionate individuals from diverse professional backgrounds (counselling, facilitation, support services, etc.). Our workshops leaders receive 140 hours of training before the start of the school year. Each workshop is typically led by two people.
