Émilie and Rose's story - a mother-daughter tale of love and resilience

“How could a child so loved, suffer this much?” 

It’s a question that Émilie asked herself during a three-year turmoil that she went through with her teenage daughter, Rose, experiencing psychological distress. 

The storm began in fall 2020 when Rose was only 13 years old. Émilie was already in communication with her high school when she was informed that her daughter had had suicidal thoughts in her books.  

Émilie’s story resembles many other parents’ and reminds us of the importance of having good resources. Both of them were able to find adequate support to get through this difficult period.
