An impressive $800,000 raised to support the mental health of young people
The 12th Mayor’s Ball has set a new fundraising record.
The Youth in Mind Foundation is proud to announce the dazzling success of the 12th Mayor’s Ball, which was held on Friday, December 1 at the magnificent Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. Under the enchanting theme of the “Celestial Way,” this charitable evening proved to be a truly memorable event.
This year, our event was graced by the presence of an inspiring figure, Mr. Guy Cormier, President and CEO of Desjardins Group. Additionally, we had the honour of welcoming the Mayor of Quebec City, Mr. Bruno Marchand, as the honorary patron of the event.
Over 660 guests gathered to support a cause close to our hearts: preventing psychological distress among the youth of the Capitale-Nationale and surrounding regions. Thanks to your presence and generosity, we are thrilled to announce that the 12th Mayor’s Ball has set a new fundraising record, raising an extraordinary $800,000! This remarkable achievement marks a significant milestone in the history of this fundraising evening.
This exceptional sum will be dedicated to improving the mental health of young people by funding initiatives in Capitale-Nationale and Eastern Quebec. It will also support the expansion of our mission by funding free workshops in high schools. Furthermore, we will develop online resources to guide parents, teachers, and young people.

This fundraising evening gave rise to several magical and touching moments, notably the various performances by Cirque du Monde from Centre Jacques-Cartier and Jeunes musiciens du monde. We want to take this opportunity to thank the young people from Diplôme avant la Médaille for giving our guests a warm welcome. Additionally, we want to give a special mention to Thomas’s heartfelt testimony and his excellent co-hosting.
